Review BRCC Spa Races Bruno Vermeeren
|
The second meeting of the BRCC championship took place at the Spa track last weekend. Skylimit Yokohama entered two Porsche at this occasion.
Bruno: “Bart Van Haeren did an excellent job during all weekend. He took the pole position during qualifying followed by a great start during the race. We took advantage of a code 60 situation to carry out our first pitstop. I took over in 2nd position and was able to bring the car home securing our 2nd place.
I haven’t had significant practice or race meeting in Spa since 2010 (Porsche Bi-Turbo). It’s not the same experience to practice in a simulator like we did prior to this event but I am quite happy with our second place and the reliability of our Porsche 996. I look forward to next event at Spa.”
The Sports4Life project was also launched this weekend: “The kids, parents and grand parents were very motivated by the aim of this project. A visit to the race leaders, the podium,... We enjoy ourselves with more initiatives to come!”
The whole team is now preparing for upcoming events, working out the best strategy in order to gather the needed points for the overall standings at the end of the season. |
