No luck for Skylimit Porsche in 1000km Zolder

Last weekend, the Zolder 1000km race took place. Skylimit entered a Porsche 996 Cup driven by Jo Lammens and Bruno Vermeeren. The driver pair qualified the car in 3rd position.

Jo Lammens started the race and managed a double stint. Bruno took over in 2nd place with new tyres and useful hints from Andy Jaenen.

Bruno Vermeeren: “In the beginning I tried to get confident with the car and built up a good rhythm. I managed to hold the 2nd place and handed the wheel over to Jo.”

Jo Lammens: “The pace was good but suddenly I had to deal with vibrations in the wheels. One lap later, driving on the straight towards the first left corner, a brake disk exploded and got stuck in the wheel. Luckily I was able to get the car out of the gravel trap.”

Bruno Vermeeren: “The race did not end like I expected but I would like to thank Jo Lammens and Andy Jaenen for their confidence and support. It stays a mechanical sport and I’m already looking forward to 2012. Many thanks to my partners!”
