Bad luck in race 1 but great moments in race 2

The BRV Promoteam Racing took part in the 3rd and 4th races of the BTCS championship this weekend at Dijon. Luc Gabriël and Bruno Vermeeren shared a Renault Clio RS III.

Bruno: “It was my first weekend on this track. I studied some movies on internet and learned the circuit through race simulations. Race 1 was held on Saturday - due to fuel on the track on Friday. Luc took the start behind the safety car and stayed in a good rhythm till he made a mistake. It took 5 laps before the car was able to rejoin the track. I took over for the last 30 minutes and was able to gather precious experience for race 2.”

For race 2 all elements were present for Bruno Vermeeren to manage a good result.

Bruno: “I had to start from last position on a wet track, elements I really appreciate! After a few laps I was already in 4th place. My best lap, 1.41.686, was quite good. After our driver change Luc was able to maintain our position but the safety car ruined our race because faster opponents rejoined the group. We finished 7th place, not so bad for our Clio Cup car!”

Next meeting will take place during the Spa 12 Hours.
